Today, I’m sitting in a little bit of awe.
I just had my biggest month yet in Awakened Wealth.
I’ve also spent the last few days hearing about some pretty incredible breakthroughs from my clients.
And I’m feeling a whole lot of gratitude.
And pride.
And, if I’m being totally honest...a little bit of disbelief.
Because there was a time when I wasn’t sure I had anything valuable to offer or that I was good enough at what I do offer.
And now, here I am.
Doing work I absolutely love, with women I adore, and watching their lives change in ways that go so far beyond money.
It’s got me thinking about the word "wealth."
It comes from an old English word meaning well-being.
Somehow, we’ve come to think about wealth as only about our money.
How much we earn. How much we have in our bank accounts, investments, and our net worth.
Having enough money to meet your basic needs matters tremendously. Financial insecurity creates very real suffering, and I don’t believe we can simply meditate, manifest, or think our way out of the realities of poverty.
But I’ve also known people with plenty of money who don’t experience much well-being at all.
They’re anxious, exhausted, and afraid of running out.
Or they feel guilty for wanting more when they already have so much.
And often, those feelings have very little to do with what is actually in their bank accounts.
I am reminded with every client I sit with that the work is so much bigger than money
One of my clients came to me struggling with what to charge for her work.
She had the skills, experience, and passion. She is a very gifted healer.
But when it came time to ask for the money, something happened.
She doubted herself; she was afraid she would push clients away, or that they would feel like she was ripping them off.
As we explored what was happening beneath those feelings, we found something much older than her business.
A sense of being an outsider in her own family.
A feeling that she didn’t quite belong.
As we worked with those experiences, something began to shift.
And she began charging in a way that felt good to her. And a fee that felt easy for her to tell her clients.
This week, she sent me a note saying she signed a client and it felt so easy to state her fees!
Another client was struggling with who she serves and attracting clients.
She had ideas and dreams and a desire to really make a positive impact.
What came up was a part of her that is really afraid of being seen and doesn't trust the world...or her.
And rather than trying to push through that fear, we got curious about it.
What was it protecting her from?
What did that younger part of her need?
As she began connecting with and caring for that part of herself, things started moving.
She landed some new clients. More people are reaching out to her. She is feeling more certain within herself and finding clarity on what it is she is here to do and how to deliver it.
And, lastly, my client who has spent years learning, training, and developing her skills.
She’s incredibly capable. She is an expert in her field.
But her inner critic had a lot to say about that.
You’re not good enough.
You don’t know enough.
There is another practitioner who knows better.
If they (the client) were seeing someone else, they would have results faster.
This voice completely ignored all of the very concrete and obvious ways in which she has helped her clients.
Sound familiar?
We worked with those beliefs and the experiences that helped create them.
And as she began trusting herself, she started showing up differently in her work.
She’s now receiving more referrals and her practice is growing.
And what strikes me about all three of these women is that their challenges looked like money problems.
Undercharging.
Not growing their businesses.
Struggling to bring in clients.
But the work we did wasn’t simply about money.
It was about belonging.
Safety.
Worthiness.
Visibility.
Trust.
And the freedom to be who they actually are....which is actually your super power.
I have lived this work myself.
I know so deeply what it feels like to feel small and question if I was good enough...as a practitioner and a human.
When I wondered what I had to offer that was different from anyone else.
And while I had plenty of professional training and experience, that didn’t automatically translate into believing in myself.
I’ve had to do my own work.
A lot of it.
But, the wealth work I do isn't just simply changing your thoughts, writing out your goals and dreams, feeling like it has already happened, or creating a new vision board.
It is so much deeper, tender, and vulnerable. It is REAL.
Today I am celebrating my own breakthrough, accomplishments, and the women who have trusted me to walk alongside them.
I am celebrating my clients, and myself, as we continue to get closer to what true wealth is for each of us.
