More income doesn’t come from pushing harder

I hit a plateau in my business.

Nothing was moving. The amount of money I was used to making suddenly felt like a ceiling… and then that ceiling started to drop.

So, I did what I always used to do: I turned up the pressure.

Pressure to network more.

Pressure to post more.

Pressure to come up with something — anything — to say on Instagram.

My body felt like a pressure cooker; my head and heart on the verge of exploding.

And if you’re in the corporate world, I know it can look a little different:

The pressure to say “yes” to every project so you’ll be seen as a team player.

The pressure to work longer hours so you’ll stand out for a promotion.

The pressure to keep going even when you’re already stretched thin.

But it all feels the same in the body, like you can barely stand being in your own skin.

The pressure was fueled by old programs of fear:
“What if I run out of money?”
“What if I can’t pay my bills?”

But here’s the thing about pressure: it never comes from love.

It never comes from truly listening to yourself.

And it never creates the freedom you’re looking for.

When I finally stopped, took a breath, and rested, something shifted.

In the quiet, I could hear clearly again. My next steps became obvious.

And my mission became even clearer, my commitment to serving women even stronger: I’m here to help women feel safe with money.

Not just to make more (though that’s a fun side effect), but to feel calm with their bank account, their circumstances, and their lives.

And suddenly, the ceiling lifted.

Not long after, I heard a woman share something that broke my heart.

She said she could never make more money unless she worked in ways that didn’t feel good to her, ways that left her overwhelmed, exhausted, and questioning whether she was a fraud.

And in her words, I heard my old story.

The story so many of us carry: that the only way to grow is to push harder, stretch ourselves thinner, and hustle until we’re burned out.

But the truth is, that path never leads to freedom.

Because here’s what I know now:

You can grow your income and honor who you are.

In fact, the more you listen to your body and give yourself rest, space, and gentleness, the more your capacity expands.

And with expanded capacity comes calm, clarity, and growth.

That’s when your (financial) life blossoms without the burnout.
